We Care for the Society
RVIM Centre for Social Responsibility is one of the centres of excellence working towards social and community development programmes. The centre focus and conducts environmental awareness programmes periodically, in and off the campus to reach out to the society.
RVIM-CSR is networked with many international organizations in implementation of community development and environmental development programmes. All networking is restricted to knowledge sharing through e -mail support. The network organizations are:
- South Asia Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE), Nepal
- Social Science Research Network (SSRN), New York
- Social Responsibility Research Network(SRRN), United Kingdom
- The Corporate Social Responsibility Newswire, United Kingdom
- Earth Day Network, USA
RVIM-CSR is associated in mobilizing student’s philanthropy to designated beneficiaries. The beneficiaries from 2013-15 were:
- Indian Association for the Blind
- National Foundation for Communal Harmony
RVIM-CSR initiated and implemented numerous awareness programmes regularly to mark the day/ week/fortnight celebrations.

Centre for Social Responsibility is one of the Centres for Excellence at RVIM .RVIM- Centre for Social Responsibility had participated in the AIMS National Management Week 2017 (CSR Programmes )and the brief report was sent to the Jury members of CSR Programmes on August 10, 2017. Accordingly after initial screening by the jury members RVIM –CSR is positioned one among the six institutes/colleges in the nationwide ranking and was selected to make a presentation of CSR Programmes at the 29th AIMS Annual Management Education Convention held in Pune from August 22-24, 2017.In another event Positive Psychology Unit, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences has awarded RVIM as one among the Top Five institutes in India for organizing ‘Engage to Change’ Campus programmes on the theme ‘Let’s Talk about Mental Health: It Matters!.RVIM –CSR Documentary Film ‘A Precious Letter’ with lead cast Ms.Rashmi Shetty, Assistant Professor, RVIM and Ms. Neha Pasha, Student III Semester bagged an award.
