Inaugural Program at RVIM on 2nd July 2018

The Undergraduate students from different disciplines and different parts of the state aspire to get into MBA degree to continue their education. To help them to face the entrance exam “PGCET” or “KMAT” and get better ranking they need proper guidance.  In this direction RVIM offered a 6 day bridge course to train the students and enhance their confidence to crack PGCET exams.

The program is the brainchild of Dr. Purushottam Bung, the Director of RVIM.  The program had a committee under the guidance of the director and it consisted of the chief coordinator as Dr. Maruthi Ram.R, Professor and Mr. Manjunath as the program coordinator and other members of the admission committee.  A pamphlet and a flyer wereprinted and distributed to the UG colleges.  This consisted of the program itinerary and the other details.

Many colleges in Bangalore were contacted personally by the committee members and the student data was collected.  The flyers were sent to various colleges in Karnataka through mail and also through Whatsaap messages.The newspaper advertisements were released twice to create awareness. The hard coloured copy of the flyers was also reached to the houses through the newspapers. The program was started on 2nd and it ended on 2nd July 2018.  The 6days crash course program was started with a formal inauguration program on 2nd July 2018.  The opening remarks by the honourable director were the hallmark of the program.  A pretest was conducted to the students on the first day of the program soon after the inauguration program to get an idea about the OGCET examination texture and the scores were announced on the same day.

The six day training program was conducted with each session on each day.  The training consisted of all the disciplines of the test and they are English, general knowledge, Reasoning and mathematics. The subject experts were all from RVIM only. The director himself took   the session on Reasoning. The program went on well with the valedictory function on Friday 2018.  The participation certificates were issued in the function.  The Participants were given the library cards for them to use the Library till their PGCET / KMAT exams. The director gave the closing remarks and assured the help to the students unconditionally even in future. The program was attended by more than 57 aspirants of MBA and the group consisted of many students from outside Bangalore also.
