Preamble:
GYANARJAN Project – A CSR initiative of Aditya Birla Fashion Retail Janakalyan Trust (ABFRJKT) in association with R V Institute of Management (RSST), Bangalore.
ABFRJKT is a public trust established in order to implement community initiatives and CSR projects of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited; ‘ABFRJKT has an approved budget for projects relating to education for the under privileged children and is therefore desirous of providing Free Specialized Coaching Program for the students studying in Class X and preparing for Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB), studying in Class XI (Science) & XII (Science) preparing for Karnataka Pre-University Board (KPUB), Common Entrance Test (CET), National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET)
RVIM is responsible for successful implementation and management of the Project. The project outlay is Rs.13.5 Lakhs. RVIM takes pride in successfully completing two batches of the Gyanarjan project in association with ABFRL.

An extensive promotion campaign was launched emphasizing the benefits and the merits of the Gyanarjan project. Information pertaining to no. of students, pass percentage, gender classification, and no. of students under BPL from the prospective schools and colleges are gathered from visiting the schools and colleges within a radius of 8 km from RVIM.
The students from the said schools and colleges are selected on the basis of the Entrance test followed by Personal interview. This year more than 500 students across 20 Schools and Colleges attend Gyanarjan classes and are taking the benefits. Well qualified and competent faculty members engage classes for SSLC, I PUC and II PUC Classes. Integrated CET / NEET coaching is also introduced from this year to facilitate the students to perform well in the CET / NEET examinations and materialize their dreams of getting admissions to Professional courses such as Engineering, Medicine , Dental and other courses.
Inaugural ceremony:
The Third batch of Gyanarjan classes was inaugurated on 12th November 2021. The Inaugural ceremony was held at DA Pandu Memorial RV Dental College Auditorium. The program was presided by Sri. D P Nagaraj, Hon. Joint Secretary, RSST. The chief guest for the program was Dr. Naresh Tyagi, Chief Sustainability officer, ABFRL. Mr. Purushottam Rao, the Group Manager (CSR) was the guest of Honour. The program was anchored by Dr. Purushottam Bung, Director, RVIM and coordinated by Dr. Santhosh M, Gyanarjan – RVIM centre Coordinator.
- The program was formally started by rendering invocation song by Ms. Prathima Bhat, student of Second year MBA program.
- Purushottam Bung welcomed the dignitaries and introduced them to the august gathering.
- All the dignitaries on the dais with few students and faculty members witnessed the lighting the lamp ceremony which is considered as an important event in all formal inauguration programs.

Dr. Naresh Tyagi, CSO, ABFRL appreciated the efforts of RVIM in taking the project to new heights. He emphasized the importance of Education for the well-being of individuals. He briefed about various CSR initiatives of ABFRL and the activities undertaken for empowerment of people in the field of health and education.
The teachers are the backbone of the Gyanarjan Project. We take pride in honoring those great individuals who are transforming the lives of many students by imparting quality education and selfless service. ABFRL recognizes the meritorious students who have done exceptionally well in the SSLC and II PUC board Examinations. The students are honored by Merit scholarships and certificate by the dignitaries.

The USP of the Gyanarjan Project is the study material. The Study material is provided to all the Gyanarjan students from SSLC, I and II PUC. The study material is prepared by competent faculty members with rich experience in academics. The students are immensely benefitted by the study material provided by the Gyanarjan project.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Santhosh M, Coordinator of Gyanarjan Project. The program was witnessed by more than 500 students and their parents along with the representatives from print and electronic media.

The program was extensively covered in Electronic and Print media. The media representatives took the Interview of Dr. Bung, Dr. Tyagi and Mr. Purushottam Rao on the various activities undertaken by ABFRL and RVIM to serve the society for better tomorrow.
